FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

For people reporting and for organisations.

Can my employer find out who I am if I report anonymously?

Anonymous reports do not ask for your name or contact details, and we do not store or show your IP address or device information to your employer. Be mindful that details in your description could identify you.

What is the difference between confidential and named?

Confidential: you share contact details with SpeakHarbour, and your employer only sees them if you permit it or it is legally required. Named: your details are visible to authorised case handlers.

What if I lose my access key?

For anonymous reports the access key is the only way back into your case, so we cannot recover it. You can always submit a new report.

Does using SpeakHarbour make me a legally protected whistleblower?

No platform can guarantee that. Legal protection depends on the circumstances. Organisations like Protect offer free, confidential advice in the UK.

Where is data stored?

SpeakHarbour is designed for UK organisations and built around UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Can we use it across multiple sites?

Yes. Reports can be organised by site, department or entity, with multi-entity management on Enterprise.
